PRCF’s International Relations Committee coordinates a range of external-engagement activities while PRCF continues to develop its institutional approach to international relations.
According to the Committee’s 2026 first-half activity report, PRCF and its International Relations Committee undertook official correspondence, strategic discussions, diplomatic meetings, international workshops and internal coordination.
Diplomatic Communication
On 12 January 2026, PRCF sent an official message to the Philippine Foreign Secretary, who was serving as the ASEAN Chair’s Special Envoy on Myanmar, expressing readiness for cooperation.
On 10 March 2026, a PRCF delegation met representatives of the Philippine Embassy in Myanmar and discussed the political crisis in Myanmar and regional stability.
Regional and Strategic Dialogue
PRCF participated in or organized discussions examining perspectives toward Myanmar, including discussions concerning China, India and Thailand.
PRCF representatives also participated in the Olof Palme Center programme “Strengthening The Bottom up Federal Approach” in Chiang Mai in April 2026.
Engagement with Indonesia
In July 2026, the International Relations Committee discussed engagement connected with Indonesia’s Special Envoy on Myanmar and PRCF sent official correspondence to Ambassador Muhammad Anshor.
Institutional Coordination
The International Relations Committee decided to hold regular monthly meetings. PRCF’s August 2026 In-Person Meeting also identified strengthening the International Relations Committee as one of PRCF’s immediate areas of work.
International Relations Policy Status
PRCF has been developing an International Relations Policy. The source documents available to this website identify that policy as a draft requiring further discussion and approval. This page therefore does not present the draft as an approved PRCF policy.
